The Grand Wagoneer was in production longer than almost any other vehicle. The powerful V-8 engine and towing capacity made the car popular among repeat buyers, and by 1991 (when production stopped) it was the longest domestically produced vehicle (29 years) on the same platform (shared set of common design, engineering, and production elements).
