Here at Patterson Chrysler Dodge Ram Jeep, one of the things we appreciate about being an FCA dealership is the company's continued dedication to safety. That commitment has not gone unnoticed, as today the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety announced that the 2016 Chrysler 200 merits the highest rating of Top Safety Pick+.

This is the second year in a row that Chrysler's mid-size sedan has earned the designation. The "+" designation is contingent on scoring the highest possible rating of "good" on all five crash assessments, as well as the availability of Automatic Emergency Braking technology that achieves a rating of "advanced" or "superior."

IIHS crash tests simulate:

  • a side impact with a large SUV or pickup truck;
  • a moderate-offset frontal impact;
  • a small-offset frontal impact;
  • roof-deformation consistent with a rollover
  • and a rear collision capable of inducing whiplash.
