You're used to pushing the brake pedal and you slow down, or you stop. Nothing to it at all. You've done it thousands of times. Sometimes though, you might hear a high pitched whine or a grinding sound. That is a sure indication that your brakes need servicing. To continue on without having them inspected will cause further damage, and is downright dangerous.
Even if there are no sounds emanating from your brakes when you press the pedal, you must have them inspected and adjusted according to the user's manual from your dealer. Otherwise, your car's warranty may lose its validity in those areas where there is a failure to follow the recommended service inspections.
For the sake of other drivers, and you and your family, have your brakes checked according to your maintenance schedule. Have your brakes inspected regularly, and only allow an authorized service technician to inspect and adjust your brakes.
